The First Day of the Rest of Your Season

The First Day of the Rest of Your Season

OK. I decided to have a little bit of fun before returning to baseball business per usual next week. I’m still working out some of the kinks in the art, but overall I think it’s turning out pretty OK so far. I hope you think the same.

I’d also like to point out that I am loving the playoffs this year. I usually am too drained and/or crushed by my favorite team’s ability to either make or stay in (or even win a single game in) the playoffs to care about the remainder of the postseason. These playoffs have been different. Legendary pitching performances, walk off after walk off, player’s trying to redeem themselves. Martin had previously commented that the regular season was a bit dull at the end because everything had essentially been settled (minus the Twins-Tigers, which also turned out to be a fantastic spectacle). I believe that’s because there were clearly a subset of elite teams this year, and having them go up against each other in the playoffs has completely lived up to my expectations.
